The queen of none

In collaboration with waste processor Bnext  we created a short film in which we step away from rationality to understand how irrational our valued materials can be. I wanted to make people aware that they have the power to decide what has value, not the price of a product. 

 

To do this we created a world which might seem like a fantasy, but is actually a mirror of our society with the queen of none as symbol of our behavior. The queen discovers that she has the power to decide what has value or not. A power we as society have too. 

 

Like in most of my works I use playfulness to shock people with human behavior. This work is unique because in other works I am looking for unfiltered, raw perspectives. Therefore, a work that embraces a complete fiction world offers as an unexpected contrast. 

 

My role was connecting all the loose parts into one story. Think about the dress, the character, the client and the final installation. I created a poem to do this. The poem is not a loose addition, but a film script on itself and the introduction of the installation.
